...if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal." Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize
President Obama has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize after only 10 months in office. Republicans are now going to explain why this is bad. Conservatives celebrated when President Obama was unable to deliver the Olympics to Chicago. This proved that he had little influence in the world. Conservatives will now proclaim that President Obama represents the world more than he does the USA or something like that (or much worse). I guess the world is breathing a sigh of relief now that we have a President that cares about diplomacy. Remember, everyone, especially conservatives, calls the President of the USA the leader of the free world.

A Busy Week
A day spent in the emergency room with severe lower back pain. No problem, just a huge stone stuck in the right ureter. Nothing a few blasts of a laser can't handle....the excitement involves getting the laser to the stone....enough said.
First exam in Human Biology....first 8 exams scored as they were being handed in....grades ranged from 39 - 57. Things did get a bit better as the rest of the 70 exams were scored.
First exam in Princples of Biology. Only 3 out of 24 failed. Next exam will cover the cell, membranes, cellular respiration, and photosynthesis.
A trip to Boston is in my very near future.....actually visiting Salem, Plymouth and the Sam Adams brewery among other things.
