The Lovely Slum of Kibera
Julia, and another student, Suzi are on their urban homestay for the next two weeks. They are staying with Esther and George and their two large german shepherd guard dogs in a Nairobi suburb. They visited Kibera for their health class. 800,000 people on 600 acres. No water, no sewage, no electricity, no government.

Wow. You can say what you want about the things that are wrong with our country, but every time I'm reminded that world wide many people are much worse off than even the poorest Americans, it really makes most of it seem like quibbling nonsense.
There is a difference. Kenya does not have the means to do anything about their poor people. The USA had the means to help our people and the Kenyan people.
Right - that is the difference. We live in a country with the means to do just about anything. Whether I - or you - agree with how dollars are being spent, we still - and even most impoverished people in our country - don't have to deal with the level of squalor, lack of medicine, etc. that many other people worldwide do.
why would JB be a terrorist?
