Dinner At My House!
There will be martinis and Dubonnet at cocktail time. Dinner will begin with terrapin soup and sherry, then move on to the turbot and a sincere Sancerre. Next will come the beef Wellington, accompanied by a decent Mouton Rothschild. We will stay with the red wine through the salad and cheese course, and naturally crepes suzette will require Dom Perignon. After dinner, when the gentlemen retire to the library and the ladies upstairs with the hostess, the postprandial liqueurs will be served. [Thank-you Sally Quinn!]

Will you be supplying the turtles for the soup, or shall we all show up early after catching our own, so the chef will have time to prepare them?
If this isn't serious - and I hope with terrapin soup and turbot on the menu that it isn't - I'd be willing to host a dinner party with much less elegant fair (tortilla soup) and a viewing of the Stuie movie.
How much do you think it would cost for one to have someone come to their house and prepare a meal like that? Remember the last supper club on "King of the Hill?"
No, I never saw the last supper on King of the Hill. The cost is in the wine I assume.
I bet. Dom's pricey, and bet the sincere Sancerre costs pretty penny as well. But what's a bowl of turtle soup go for?
You can buy turtle meat here http://www.exoticmeats.com/store/index.php?cPath=24_59&osCsid=8fc9fde8729e53d45113f7debc6020b0
It's not cheap.
