That's because what places like Saranac Lake have is not something that can be fabricated; it's something that has to develop organically. I'd rather go to the Adirondacks than to Disney World any day of the year.
I totally agree with Brian!!!!!! I also think that some of the people who live there don't appreciate where they live, I know I took it for granted while I was there!
