Big Spender Hillary

This is really sad. Hillary Clinton spent $36 million dollars to get re-elected Senator of NY state. Does anyone even know who ran against her? Why did she have to spend $36 million dollars? I didn't see any TV ads and I don't remember even getting any mailings from her campaign. Just what was the money spent on?

Hillary still has loads of money in the bank for her presidential run. She could get the Democrat nomination but she doesn't stand a chance in hell of getting elected president because:

She is a woman
She is representing liberal New York
She is wishy washy on her political stances
Much of the country has an irrational hatred of her

BTW Rudy Giuliani and George Pataki have even a less chance than Hillary of getting elected president. They aren't near conservative enough.

And another part of the country has a very rational distrust of her.

No, Peter, they won't get nominated as presidential/vice presidential candidates by the GOP because they aren't conservative enough. I know a ton of people that would gladly vote for someone more centrist than the crop of polarized dickheads that usually get the party nods.

Hillary has brand name recognition, so she raises money more easily than, say, Kirsten Gillibrand. Senator Clinton does share the wealth with other worthy (that is to say, Democratic) candidates.

In a vaguely related note, since I am wondering about sexism as a result of the postings and blog here, why was Nancy Pelossi repeatedly described by the media as a "grandmother"? Does John McCain's name get consistently modified by "grandfather"?
