A few days ago a scientific panel composed of a leading international network of climate scientists concluded that global warming is happening and humans and their activites are the main driver. The report can be found online here.
A "Congressional Insiders" poll, which surveyed a sample of Democratic and Republican Senators and Representatives has been released. The question of interest was: Do you think it’s been proven beyond a reasonable doubt that the Earth is warming because of man-made problems?
84% of Republicans said NO.
95% of Democrats said YES.
What will it take to convince Republicans that human activities are responsible for global warming?

Republican stupidity and science go hand and hand.
Remember when Senate Majority Leader, Dr. Frist said that Terri Schiavo, a brain-damaged woman whose husband wanted to remove her feeding tube, should not have been diagnosed as persistent vegetative state?
And then said, "I question it based on a review of the video footage which I spent an hour or so looking at last night in my office."
My kind of doctor, sounds like the old NY TV sportscaster Warner Wolfe who would say, “Let’s go to the video tape!”
