More High Tech Fuel Production
Read about it here. LS9, a company in Silicon Valley, calls itself the "Renewable Petrolium Company". What kind of people work at such a place? How about a synthetic biologist/evolutionary engineer; a fermentation scientist; a microbial physiologist? That's right, we're not drilling for oil here, we're fermenting it from agricultural waste products. LS9 plans on a demonstration-scale production facility by 2010 and a commercial-scale facility in 2011.

Didn't President Carter allocate Federal money for this very type of future fuel in 1977, only to have President "I don't recall" Reagan, gut it out to spend this money on 'starwars' and aircraft carrier groups. Are voters stupid world wide or just in America?
The technology for these types of fuel did not exist in 1977. It was probably oil gasification that Carter wanted funded. I agree that voters in the USA seem to be easily fooled.
