Rep. John Sweeney: Loves Horses but What About People?

Our courageous Rep. John Sweeney (R-NY20) is to be commended for leading the fight against the slaughter of horses although I'm not sure why he doesn't care about cows, chickens, pigs and lambs. Maybe he just hates the French.

But does John Sweeney care about people?

He voted to restrict bankruptcy rules
He voted to ban family planning funding abroad
He voted no on same sex marriage
He voted to ban adoption by gays
He voted no on providing alternative sentencing (to prison)
He voted no on grants for black and hispanic colleges
He voted no on Kyoto protocol implementation
He voted to restrict independent grassroots political committees
He voted to decrease gun waiting period from 3 days to 1 day
He voted to limit prescription drug benefit for Medicare recipients
He voted no on allowing reimportation of prescription drugs
He voted yes on continuing intelligence gathering without civil oversight
He voted no on strengthening the Social Security Lockbox
He voted yes on eliminating the Estate Tax (Paris Hilton tax)
He voted yes on declaring Iraq part of War on Terror with no exit date

Not Exactly 20th district Biz, but close enough in my mind. I actively campaign for both Johnson and Gillibrand, because I am blessed with homes in each district. Here is a link to a very interesting campaign speech written by someone much more articulate than I. Perhaps the blog might post it? WWW.percevalpress.com
