"I cannot understand how I could have said what I am quoted as having said," he said. "To all those who have drawn the inference from my words that Africa, as a continent, is somehow genetically inferior, I can only apologize unreservedly. That is not what I meant. More importantly from my point of view, there is no scientific basis for such a belief."UPDATE: Dr. Watson has apologized for his unfortunate remarks.

Maybe when Imus returns, Watson can be his first guest.
Peter,
This is totally off subject but you might be amused to know that one of the "staff educational" activities occuring this afternoon at SLCS for the "superintendent's conference day" is bowling. Can someone please explain to me how bowling has anything to do with teaching??? What a joke.

So, there are obviously some tests that bear this out then? If they are legitimate tests and true...
People of African dissent are clearly better athletes in many sports, it's conceivable they aren't as blessed in all areas.
When people look at the constitution and see the "All People Created Equal" that means in respect to basic human rights and liberties, not all people have the same physical or mental capacities.
Looking at Africa, one should wonder why they haven't advanced more. They are still fighting wars with machetes for sakes.
This is a lot of fuss about nothing, though we'll see Rev. Jackson marching against something.
