I checked your web site to see if you had anything to say yet about Obama's speech in Egypt.
But I think we're kin - because I'm mourning the loss of Koko, too. I was really lucky to see her perform in a small bar in the early-mid 1990's in Syracuse. She was absolutely incredible in voice and presence.
When I look back at it, I wonder why on earth she was playing in this very dingy, stale-beer smelling place (since been torn down). She was at that time not appreciated enough, I guess, by the blues booking agents.
