Josh Marshall at TalkingPoints Memo makes an excellent point. Most people understand that John McCain is telling lies. These are not misstatements or flubs in a speech. He is repeating lies that have been proven to be lies. Everyone but the most diehard, Republican hack understands this.
Now let's say you own a business and you are interviewing applicants for a job. Would you hire a known liar? Why would we trust a liar with the care of our government?
