Who is Being Disrespected? American Voters!

McCain/Palin are calling the uppity, black guy....disrespectful? The black guy needs to start showing some deference and stop calling Palin a liar (we don't use that word, even if it's true).

I'll tell you who is really being disrespected. The American voters are being disrespected. In my opinion, for a real democracy to succeed, voters need to be given accurate, truthful, information on which to base their voting decisions. They also need to hear the honest, unspun views of the candidates specific policies. This is not happening. Obama is too busy being on the defensive and McCain is too busy lying.

It's become a bit scary over the last couple of decades. Can a country truly be a democracy when either voting decisions or policy decisions are based on lies? What is even scarier, is that a good percentage of the American people don't seem to care that they are being told lies or even worse, cannot tell a lie from the truth.

I have lost any respect I have ever held for John McCain. One good thing about McCain however, at least for President G.W. Bush....if McCain/Palin win the election, there is a good chance that Pres. Bush will look good in retrospect.
