Springfield, VT has been chosen as the city to premier the new Simpsons movie after winning a video contest held by USA Today. Springfield VT competed with 13 other Springfields in the USA for the privilege of hosting the premier of the movie. I voted for Springfield, VT because I thought the movie they submitted was by far the best. And, because it's VT.

I am one of 200 volunteers who appeared in the winning Springfield Vermont video. After we helped our local Chamber of Commerce win the contest, they turned their backs on us. We should have been the first in town to be receive invitations to the world premiere but the elite in town were awarded our seats instead.
