Saranac Lake Community Store is Selling Shares

I missed the kickoff for the SL Community Store share-selling extravaganza yesterday because I was on Ampersand Mt.. But, tomorrow I will go and purchase my shares. This morning's Talk of the Town (Wed) was quite disturbing to me. Caller after caller explaining why they won't shop at a community store. Ridiculous reasons, most out of Wal-Mart spite. Then, of course, you get the stories about the "transplants" with "disposable income" that are trying to take over the town. It's almost embarrassing to admit I was born here. Residents of Saranac Lake have changed, but not for the better. People in other communities in which I lived were much more welcoming to newcomers.
