More Pork for Alaska - In the Bailout Bill

SEC. 504. INCOME AVERAGING FOR AMOUNTS RECEIVED IN CONNECTION WITH THE EXXON VALDEZ LITIGATION […]

(c) (1)…no portion of qualified settlement income received by a qualified taxpayer shall be treated as self-employed income.
(2)…no portion of qualified settlement income received by a qualified taxpayer shall be treated as wages.

This basically means no Alaskan who received money from the Exxon Valdez oil spill will have to pay taxes on that money.

This is just one of the many earmarks in the new bailout bill. Will John McCain vote for all this pork?

I saw that provision of the bill and my interpretation of it is the same as yours. The swine in DC are passing a pork bill under the guise of a bailout. These people are a disgrace.

Just to set the record straight; If you are insinuating that Palin, by virtue of being from Alaska, had anything to do with this pork, you continue your prevarications.

She is a governor, cannot introduce member items nor vote on a congressional bill.
Here is how Alaska got their pork:
Democrats 172 yea's 63 nays
Republicans 91 yeas 108 nays
Hows that for a Fact check

Maybe you better do some reseach on how "pork" is requested. Pork usually gets into a bill by some politician or lobbyist promising something in return for the pork. Sarah Palin is a very smart person. She simply told Republicans that she will continue to act like moron on TV until her State gets more tax cuts.

Still doesn't explain that 2 to 1 ratio of democrats voting in favor of the bail out, now does it?
Why don't you enlighten us on pork taken by democrats to assuage their pimps?
Why don't you enlighten us on Barney Frank's former relationship with a fannie mae exec.?
Why don't you admit, like an Alabama memver of congres, that this crisis wouldn't exist if they hadn't been pressured to give loans to those who couldn't repay

Rep. Davis (D), Alabama: We were wrong
"Frankly, I wish my Democratic colleagues would admit that when it comes to Fannie and Freddy, we were wrong."
If I lived in Al. I would vote for this guy just because he is honest.

Still waiting for the explanation of why Democrats at nearly 2 to 1 voted for the bailout and Alaska's pork. Oh my, is it a huge left-wing conspiracy???
Or did their troughs need filling???

Glad you asked. He is looking to get elected, same as the other fellow. Now your turn.
